BH12 sits in BCP Council and covers Branksome, Parkstone east and parts of Alderney. Branksome has a developed local high street and a railway station providing direct South Western Main Line services. The Bournemouth University Talbot Campus straddles BH3 and BH12 and is a major local educational institution.
