BD13 sits in Bradford City Council and Calderdale Council and covers Thornton, Queensbury, Denholme and surrounding hilltop villages. Thornton is notable as the birthplace of the Brontë sisters (Charlotte, Emily and Anne were all born here). The Brontë Birthplace at 74 Market Street is Grade II*-listed.
